Till now, taking admission in any central university after 12th was like chewing iron gram. Despite getting 99% marks in the board examination, some central universities could not get admission. The cut-off used to go up to 100%. To overcome all these problems, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has arranged CUET.
This CUET exam has also been discussed in the New National Education Policy (NEP 2020). However, some objections are also being raised on this. As members of the Academic Council of the University of Delhi (DU) say that “this exam will harm the socially and economically disadvantaged students”. Many more such objections are being raised by various experts, whose detailed information you can get through news.
What is CUET
CUET is an entrance exam, through which admission will be given in total 44 central universities of India. This exam will be in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. This exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This is the same agency which also conducts JEE Main and NEET. The full form of CUET is “Common University Entrance Test”.
CUET is called “University Common Entrance Test” in Hindi. According to UGC, state universities, private universities and deemed universities can also give admission on the basis of this entrance exam.
Through CUET 2022, admission will be given in all three undergraduate, post graduate, and research programs. But in this post we will know only about CUET (UG). If you also want to know about CUET (PG) and CUET (RP), then definitely tell in the comment. We will write a blog post on that too soon.
Such a system was earlier also in the name of ‘Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET)’, but it was not mandatory. Now CUCET has been replaced by CUET, and this exam is mandatory for taking admission in any central university.
To appear in the CUET-UG exam, it is mandatory for the candidate to have passed 12th or equivalent from any recognized board. There is no compulsion of 12th board marks in this. However, the university may impose a restriction of minimum marks such as 50%.
Candidates who have passed this year can take admission through this, apart from this, if the university allows, then the candidates who have passed last year can also take admission through this examination. There is no minimum or maximum age limit for appearing in this examination. is not.
The Common University Entrance Test consists of two sections (IA and IB) of language. You will be asked Reading Comprehension in the language paper. So from now on start reading and solving the reading comprehension of the languages for which you are going to take the test.
All your questions in domain specific subject will come from 12th NCERT. So read NCERT thoroughly. If there is a problem in understanding the NCERT book, then you can read other standard books along with it to understand the concept.
For example, if you are a student of science, and you find NCERT physics very difficult, then you can read the book ‘Concept of Physics’ by HC Verma. In this, the difficult concepts of Physics have also been explained in an easy way.
